Meriel and Max's hot summer's wedding at The Sun Pavilion in Harrogate

Meriel and Max's wedding felt extra special to me - this was because Max's family and friends had travelled all the way from Nashville, USA (Max's home town) to be there! 

Luckily, Yorkshire pulled out all the stops for the occasion and presented the most gorgeous sunny day for their outdoor ceremony. When I first met Meriel, at the beginning of the year, she told me about a relaxed, garden-party style wedding and the reality exceeded my expectations. 

Every single little detail had been planned out and the theme of bringing together Meriel's UK routes and Max's US background worked perfectly. The guests were even handed out either English sweetie bags or American candy bags near the end of the reception so that they could have a little taste of the other side.

Take a look at Meriel and Max's day below - I think you'll agree that with the Valley Gardens as a backdrop, it looks like the setting of a fairytale.
